Ok, first, I gotta go get my Aura photo!!! And Jojo's!! Second, a therapist once recommended what is basically a color walk whenever you are too worked up about something and I find it really works - choose one color and look around to see how many things you can spot in that color. It's actually really soothing, especially in the midst of something like a crazy travel delay situation!

When my two-year-old was a newborn, I would put her in the baby wrap and trek outside and do a color walk. It became a way in which I started building a connection with her and more so narrating the world around her in an way that felt easy and natural. In those early days my brain felt like mush and narrating all the blue or purple things I saw on my walk felt like a little ritual I was building that could grow with us over time.

🥹🥹🥹 Meghan, I love this so much. How special for you to be able to share this experience with her (and get to tell her about it again once she's older). I would think I had the coolest mom. I hope color walks remain a longtime ritual for you two!
